So I don’t know about you, but I am SUPER excited for the new Beauty and the Beast movie opening this month. This is one of my all time favourite movies – I have watched the animated version I don’t know how many times, learned how to play a few of the songs on the piano in my youth, wished I had an occasion to justify purchasing this dress and have my eye on this Lego set.
As March 23 gets closer, more and more delicious cake/cookie/dessert tributes are appearing in my Facebook feed or YouTube/blog subscriptions, plus I have been spending lots of time on Pinterest procrastinating researching. I am amazed with every single one of them so thought I would compile my favourites to share with you and just to mix things up, there are a couple of non-edible ones in here as well.
Beauty and the Beast Dress from Pigtails and Pirates
Let’s start with a non-food one. This is going to be mostly delicious treats, but when I saw the below image pop up in my feed from Pigtails and Pirates, I was staring at it for a very long time. Not only is the dress beautiful, but the accessories Laura has paired with it finish it off perfectly.
Belle Cake by How to Cook That
Ann Reardon of How to Cook That has been one of my favourite YouTube channels for a very long time. The amazing gingerbread houses each year, indulgent desserts and giant chocolate bars for people doing giant things all make Ann’s channel a must see. Ann makes everything look so easy, and this Belle cake is no exception.
Beauty and the Beast Emoji Cupcakes by Hungry Happenings
If you follow me on Facebook, you would have seen me share Beth from Hungry Happenings’ Mason Jar Cookies, complete with candy glass. Now, using modelling chocolate and Reese’s Cups, Beth creates these adorable cupcakes in honour of the movie.
Beauty and the Beast Cake by My Cupcake Addiction
One channel I have been following from the beginning, or very close to it, is My Cupcake Addiction. You have probably heard of Elise Strachan by now given she has over 3 million YouTube subscribers, is on the Food Network and has her own cookbook. Elise always makes things so anyone can do it at home without having to purchase specialised equipment, and this cake is a good demonstration of that.
Belle Cake by Sweet Tiers
Although I am not a member anymore, I still follow the Australian Cake Decorating Network Facebook page admiring all of the amazing talent this country has to offer. This cake appeared by Helena of Sweet Tiers and it is so exquisite I had to include it in the list, especially given the story of the little girl it was made for.
Cogsworth, The Beast and Belle by Zoe’s Fancy Cakes
The super talented Zoe has created cakes for Cogsworth, the Beast and Belle (two actually) and has loads of other great tutorials over on her YouTube channel (e.g. Baby Groot!!!). I have only come across Zoe in recent months and have spent much time on the couch making my way through her videos in awe of her talent.
Disney Emoji Blitz and Enchanted Rose Cookies by Haniela’s
So it is time to see something other than cake (not that there is anything wrong with cake). Haniela has a couple of Beauty and the Beast inspired cookies on her YouTube channel and although the Disney Emoji Blitz Belle and Beast cookies are beautiful, my favourite is the Enchanted Rose.
Mrs Potts and Chip Cookies by TaleCookies
From scrolling through the video list on TaleCookies’ YouTube channel, there are five cookie videos for Beauty and the Beast, each as brilliant as the last. I love watching these videos as there is mesmerising music accompanying Tanya’s decorating so you fall into a trance.
Lumiere by Rachel’s Enchanting Cakes
A search of YouTube for Beauty and the Beast Cake yielded this amazing 3D Lumiere cake. Rachel goes through the process step-by-step, including all of the structure, to create this ridiculously good Lumiere that even lights up!
Beauty and the Beast by Swarovski
If you have a spare AUD$19,900 lying around, why not purchase the exquisite limited edition Beauty and the Beast figure from Swarovski. Covered in hand-set crystals, it certainly is divine. They have a number of Beauty and the Beast products including Belle, an Enchanted Rose or two, jewellery and pens.
FYI – No affiliation, I just love Swarovski.
Now I could go on and on with more amazing creations, and undoubtedly there will be more to come with the movie release, but I really should hit that publish button.
Have you seen another beautiful Beauty and the Beast creation, or made one yourself? Leave the details in the comments below as I would love to check it out.
