As I did last year, I thought I would take a look back and see what you were most interested in on my blog and look at the top 10 posts of 2013. When rereading that post I can see that my goal was to cook more out of my current cook book collection.
So that didn’t really happen and I will have to see what I can do about it this year as I only really did a little bit but not quite as much as I had hoped for. Mind you, it didn’t stop me from buying more cook books (I am just digging myself a deeper hole here I know).
Let the countdown begin!
10. Marshmallow Fondant
9. Chocolate Cupcakes with Rose Buttercream
8. Mars Bar Slice (High Tea Series Part 1)
7. Christmas 2012 – Red Velvet White Christmas Cake
6. Swiss Meringue Buttercream
5. Chocolate Coconut Slice
4. Salted Caramel Macarons
3. Purple Corset Cake
2. Rose Macarons
1. Oreo Cookies and Cream Cupcakes
These cupcakes have certainly proved a big hit both with you and family and friends, and I have had one lady order them three times (so far).
Throughout the course of the year my page views and social media followers have increased, as you would hope, and after Liz Marek shared my review of her Marshmallow Fondant on her Facebook page they jumped dramatically. I was giddy with excitement at this, but more so the fact that Liz read the post and liked it!
A couple of posts from 2012 are still proving popular and are actually part of the top 10 most viewed this year. They are Zucchini Slice and my Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies. If I was including pages as well, the new recipe archive has certainly been utilised which is great to see and I hope you have found it easy to navigate. I know I have certainly used it a few times.
So there you have it. Was your favourite post included? If not, what was it? Is there anything you would like to see this year on the blog (e.g. more vegetarian meals, a particular flavour of macarons or cupcakes, meaty dishes, puddings)? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below…
